About SIOS Cranes BV

SIOS is the abbreviation for Special Is Our Standard. A young company founded at the beginning of 2014 in order to give continuity to the delivery of special customized crane systems.

SIOS is the abbreviation for Special Is Our Standard. A young company founded at the beginning of 2014 in order to give continuity to the delivery of special customized crane systems, mainly in the following areas:

  1. Stationary cranes for the handling of waste, to be used by waste management companies;
  2. Stationary cranes which can be used for the processing of materials such as aluminum;
  3. Stationary cranes to be placed on ships and in ports;
  4. Cranes in an ATEX environment, both stationary as on vehicles;
  5. Cranes in combination with hydraulic hoists;
  6. Customer-specific applications in the field of operating systems .

The basis for the expertise we now have in the company Sios BV was obtained during our careers with our former employer Hiab.

The difference between the activities of today and of course of the service context is that our range is not limited to one brand, but we are able to get in close consultation with the client and suppliers of brands to create a right combination of brand and way of construction.

During our careers at our formal employer we delivered the following crane installations:

  • For the Dutch Petroleum Company:
    • Five crane installations, each consisting of two cranes:
      • HIAB 477 telescopic crane equipped with a Rotzler hoist;
      • HIAB 055 executed with a special personal basket;
      • Both cranes Atex performed;
      • Both cranes equipped with ABB Atex remote controls;
      • Both cranes assembled at the rear side of a DAF FAX CF 85.360;
      • Rear side of the vehicle completely sparkless performed;
      • Automatic NAM lubrication kit.

 

  • The complete installation was accomplished in collaboration with:
    • NAM Hoogezand Sappemeer;
    • DAF Eindhoven;
    • Esa Groningen;
    • Compaan Assen;
    • Dulasta Staphorst;
    • Several other companies and suppliers;
    • Notified body SGS.

 

  • For an Swedish company:
    • A Hiab 477 crane, equipped with:
    • Rotzler 5 tons hoist;
    • Electro-hydraulic power pack;
    • Crane Foundation;
    • The installation was DNV inspected and tested.

 

  • For an Dutch company:
    • A HIAB 800 crane, equipped with:
    • Rotzler 5 tons hoist;
    • Electro-hydraulic power pack;
    • Crane Foundation;
    • Stationary assembly on a ship.

 

  • Further we stood at the basis of:
    • The development of the waste collection crane.
    • Several special crane combinations such as a crane in combination with a side loader, to be used both as crane but also as side loader.
    • Several stationary assembled cranes, Atex as well as non Atex performed assembled in The Netherlands, but also abroad.

To be delivered soon:

  1. To the Company Aron Lifts international Pte Ltd in Singapore, mounted on a floated platform:

A complete stationary crane system consisting of:

  • HIAB 622 EP-4;
  • Hoist, type EMC with a lifting capacity of 7.5 tons;
  • Electro-Hydraulic Power pack with a capacity of 2 x 37 kW electric motors;
  • Crane foundation;
  • Foundation fully inspected and tested by DNV.

 

  1. For a customer from Estonia:

A complete stationary crane, Atex executed consisting of:

  • HIAB 144 EP-5;
  • Hoist, type Rotzler with a lifting capacity of one ton.

 

  1. For a costumer from Japan:

Three cranes, including:

  • HIAB 477+JIB;
  • Assembled behind the cabin of five axle Mercedes vehicle;
  • Kinshofer manipulator;
  • HBC remote control;
  • IQAN operating system;
  • Vacuum system

Main objective of this crane installation is to transport solar panels, 20 in total, each up to a length of approximately 11.5 meters and place them on roofs. This is done by using a one button on the remote control. The decision to use this remote control has several reasons: the lack of labor, efficiency improvements, safety and ease of operation. The installation has an accuracy of half a meter, Multi functional, semi-automatically operated crane.

 

  1. For a costumer from Germany:

A Jonsered crane, high seat executed , mounted on the rear side of a 4-axle Volvo.

From the high seat the following can be executed:

  • Start-Stop;
  • Forward-Backward;
  • Left- right Turn;
  • Crane operation.

All this is realized by means of IQAN operating system with two joysticks with three functions each.
